DESCRIPTION:This education session is to focus on 3 important topics that the Yankton County Commission will be discussing and potentially voting on at their June 30th special meeting.  \n\nSD Senate Bill 96-This legislation gives counties the options to enact an ordinance to impose a half-cent sales tax to offset the county portion of homeowner occupied property tax.  Presenter-Mike Bockorny\n\nYankton County Road and Bridge Levy-A levy is being considered as a way to generate additional revenue for road and bridge maintenance and lessening the need to use general fund dollars. Presenter-John Marquardt\n\nData Center Utilization-Data centers are a necessity in today's world.  Learn more about the industry and how it impacts our daily living. With the Commission considering a moratorium on data center development\, we feel it is important to provide an opportunity to have a broader understanding of the need for data processing. Presenter-Scott Sandal\n\n\n\nThe County Commission has options on how to proceed and has been asking for input.  This is an opportunity to come and ask questions to learn about the options and provide feedback.  This is not a presentation for or against any of the topics.
