“End the Violence One Step at a Time”
Why do we walk?
We walk for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and child abuse. We walk to show survivors that they are not alone.
- In the US, 20 people per minute are abused by a domestic partner. That equates to more than 10 million women and men a year.
- Every 73 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted; and every 9 minutes, that victim is a child.
- Only 3% of human trafficking victims are ever identified.
- In 2020, we served 310 survivors; 53 of them were children.
- Last year, we provided 1,264 nights in our shelter to survivors of violence.
