Sunday, December 5 visit 509 Pine to experience “A Victorian Christmas.” Chestnuts roasting over an open fire will welcome you to this gracious home. Enjoy a fifty minute tour with the home’s butler, “Charles Dickens,” “Alice Cramer,” and maids as your guides. The butler will greet you and guide you into the front parlor where “Charles Dickens” will tell a story and lead you in song. You will be escorted through the back parlor into the dining room where “Mrs Alice Cramer” will tell you of the Victorian traditions and foods. A maid will lead you to the kitchen where another maid will be baking gingerbread cookies. Sample a cookie and have some warm apple cider. Notice the Victorian (or later) decorations provided by the GFWC in the foyer, the Arikara Questers (front parlor) and Laura Ingalls Wilder (back parlor) and the Dakota Territory Questers (dining room).
