Mount Marty University is seeking applications for a full-time appointment of Assistant Professor of Education. This nine-month, tenure-track appointment will begin August 2022.The successful candidate will hold an Ed.D. Or Ph.D., but those who are ABD may be considered.
The successful candidate will have teaching experience in elementary education and expertise in teacher education. The candidate must exhibit a willingness to support the mission of Mount Marty University. Responsibilities for this position include teaching elementary undergraduate education courses, advising students, talking with prospective students, and supervision of undergraduate teacher candidates in K-12 schools. The Mount Marty University teacher education faculty have a strong reputation for developing competent and confident teachers and the program currently places 100% of its majors who choose to seek employment.
Located on a beautifully maintained 80-acre campus along the bluffs of the Missouri River, Mount Marty’s hallmark is outstanding teaching, small class size, and a strong commitment to the liberal arts in the Catholic Benedictine tradition. The University has been noted regionally for its strong Teacher Education programs.
