Position Requirements:
- Hands-on and on the production, floor implementing Manufacturing & Lean Engineering concepts to maximize production efficiency to improve assembly methods and processes using Lean concepts (6S, Kaizen, and mistake proofing devices (Poka Yoke)).
- Ensure workstations are designed and set-up to maximize safety, quality, workflow and productivity.
- Utilize warehousing Lean methods, profiling, and distribution, to establish warehousing standards.
- Implement time studies, predetermined time (i.e. MTM, MOST) to develop work standards.
- Collaborate with associated departments and assist with machining, tooling, fixtures, welding as needed to create improved workstation set-ups.
- Manage workflow, maintain schedules, and monitor production process performance.
- Conduct plant layout and cycle time assessments and utilization studies.
- Analyze problems and develop creative, viable solutions to resolve problems.
- Utilize effective organizational and follow-up skills.
- Create floor layouts (Auto Cad).
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- B.S. in Manufacturing, Lean or Industrial Engineering or related field
- 2 years hands-on Manufacturing, Lean or Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Lean manufacturing knowledge/experience (6S, Kaizen).
