House of Mary Shrine Easter Sunrise Service

ALL ARE WELCOME to celebrate Christ’s resurrection with the Annual SUNRISE SERVICE on Easter Sunday morning, April 5th. The celebration begins at 6:30 AM with scripture readings and songs at the chapel. A procession proceeds with song and scripture to the top of the hill and the three large crosses. A cross signifying Christ’s, is carried by volunteer “Simons”. At the summit, all will witness the rising sun and recall the sacrifice of the Lamb of God. An inspiring message, and then the procession continues to the tomb, where in scripture and song, the faithful proclaim that JESUS CHRIST HAS RISEN! Refreshments will be served in the Chapel basement following the service. *This is NOT a Mass and does not fulfill your Easter obligation of Holy Mass.
