The Yankton Community Library is celebrating “Won’t you Be my Neighbor” Day and Mister Rogers all month long! Stop in and pick up a Neighborhood Trolley coloring sheet. Adult Craft: Bee Waterers
Yankton Community Library will host its monthly adult craft night on Tuesday, March 19th. We will be joined by special guest Sarah Brandt who will talk bee business while participants learn how to make a bee waterer out of a terracotta pot. SAC Red Cross Swim Lessons This Spring
The Summit Activities Center will be offering American Red Cross Swimming Lessons this Spring. The classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings and will run from Tuesday, April 2 through Thursday, April 25, 2024. Swim lessons will include Aqua Tots, Preschool, and Red Cross Level 1 through Level 4. Class sizes are limited. Weekend at the Oscars - YCL
The Yankton Community Library, 515 Walnut Street, will be hosting Weekend at the Oscars on Saturday & Sunday, March 9 & 10. The 10th annual event will feature four nominated movies in various categories. The weekend will kick off with The Holdovers, rated R, at 9:30 am on Saturday, March 9. Nominated for best picture, best actor (Paul Giamatti), and best supporting actress (Da'Vine Joy Randolph), The Holdovers shares the story of a cranky history teacher forced to remain on campus over the holidays.
Yankton Seed Library - Soil Health
The Yankton Seed Library is back to help usher in spring! Lawn and River Corridor Event Spaces Master Planning Meeting
The City of Yankton invites the public to the second community meeting for the planning process in regards to future improvements to The Lawn and river corridor event spaces. Public input has been gathered through three different surveys and the results will be discussed. Local author, Nathan Johnson, will discuss his new book A Guide To Historic Yankton: Nine Routes Through The Dakotas’ Territorial Capital at a presentation at the Yankton Community Library on Thursday, March 14 at 6pm. As part of the Yankton Community Library’s year-long goal to spread random acts of kindness, we are holding a toy drive for the Toy Lending Library of South Dakota in March! March Elementary Programs
The Yankton Community Library will be providing several exciting afternoon programs in March for kids in grades K-5. All programs are free and will take place at the library on Thursdays at 3:45pm.
