Ice Skating

About Us

With the addition of the Kiwanis 4-H Center and Alcoa Arena in 2005, Yankton's ice skaters and figure skaters finally had a place to skate inside. The ice facility is open each winter and has open skate times. The ice time is limited to accommodate for Yankton's various hockey teams, figure skating association and curling club (Yes, we have curling!). Open skate times are always listed on the Yankton Thrive calendar of events.

When the weather allows (Yankton's winters are relatively mild) there are also outdoor ice skating spaces available at Tripp Park located at 8th and Broadway Ave. and at Sertoma Park.
