About Us

Release your inner artist.

Bede Art Gallery is a cultural center where artists showcase their work and the Mount Marty community comes together. Named for Bede the Venerable (an English monk), the gallery is located in the Marian Auditorium on the Mount Marty campus in Yankton.

Each semester, our students showcase their talents in an art show at Bede Gallery. Work of other artists from across the region is exhibited once a month, and professional artists often participate in workshops and gallery talks. Well-known artists from across South Dakota, including Oscar Howe, Don Montileaux, and Martin Red Bear, have been honored at the Bede Art Gallery.

The gallery is open to the public at no cost from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday.
