August Community Art Show

The art show will feature two categories, Visual and Material Art. Visual Art is any two-dimensional art such as painting, sketches, photography, and prints. Material Art, or three-dimensional art, includes clay, paper mâché, carving, casting, and sewing.

Submissions will be accepted from Friday, August 1 to Friday, August 8 during regular business hours. Participants may submit one piece of art in each category. All art must be suitable for viewers of all ages.

Swing by the Yankton Community Library Meeting Room August 11 through 15 to view the submissions and vote for your favorites!

On Friday, August 15, artists and art enthusiasts are welcome to attend the Closing Reception from 1-3:30 pm. Stop in to see the art, chat with artists, and enjoy light refreshments. Winners will be announced at 3:00 pm.

We’ve been making art all summer long, now is your chance to show it off!
