Award-winning angler, and radio and television broadcaster Gary Howey will host a Gone Fishin’ seminar at the Yankton Community Library, 515 Walnut Street, on Tuesday, June 14 at 6 p.m. The Hartington, Nebraska resident will discuss his numerous voyages on the water and will present fishing tips & tricks.
Howey is a former host and current consultant for the ‘Outdoorsmen Adventures’ television show, and hosts the ‘Outdoor Adventures’ radio program that is carried across Southeastern South Dakota and northeastern Nebraska. His columns have appeared in newspapers across South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa, and Howey is also a contributing writer for Buckmasters magazine, Game & Fish magazine, The Outdoorsmen magazine, and Siouxland Outdoors.
On the water, Howey is a former two-time national freshwater record holder and is a former South Dakota state record holder.
