Description
On Monday, July 29th from 4:30-7:30 pm, join us in Riverside Park for our second family-friendly night of fun! The evening will blast off with two foam cannons in the greenspace in the center of the park. DJ Todd Carr will provide music throughout the night. Creative Force will be available for free face painting and balloon art throughout the night. Meyer Petting Zoo will be back by popular demand with their farm friends for you to pet and interact with. The main event of the night will take place at 6 pm when Real Reptiles takes center stage with their reptile show in the amphitheater.
Consider purchasing a 50/50 raffle ticket from the Friends of the Library or a T-shirt from the Yankton Community Library Foundation to show your support for these organizations that do so much for the library.
Turn in your completed passport or summer bucket list for a coupon for a free ice cream cone or free ½ bag of mini donuts. People who did not participate in summer reading can show their library card or buy a 50/50 raffle ticket to receive a coupon. Limit 1 coupon per person.
Come hungry and visit the Runza food truck to purchase food and thank them for their contributions to our summer reading program. Donut Department will also be onsite selling mini donuts to fill those sweet tooth cravings.
We will have carnival games and water play available for kids or kids at heart. The foam from the foam cannons is a nontoxic “dry” foam but it may saturate clothes if individuals spend an extended amount of time in the foam. A change of clothes might be a good idea!
