RV Porter / Service Lot Specialist

Gavins Point Recreational Center is looking for a dependable, experienced RV Porter / Service Lot Specialist to help keep our busy service department running efficiently.
The primary purpose of this position is simple: keep our technicians working efficienctly.
Our service technicians are most productive when the next RV they need is already positioned, ready, and waiting for them. This role is responsible for proactively moving, hauling, hooking up, unhooking, and staging RVs throughout our service facility so our technicians can move seamlessly from one job to the next.
This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable towing and backing trailers, enjoys working around vehicles and equipment, and takes pride in keeping things organized and moving.
Primary Responsibilities
- Proactively move and stage RVs for the service department so technicians always have their next unit ready
- Hook up and unhook travel trailers and fifth wheels
- Safely back and position RVs into service bays, parking areas, and designated staging locations
- Transport RVs around the dealership property and service facility
- Deliver RVs to local campgrounds and campsites as needed
- Assist with moving units for customer deliveries and service appointments
- Unbox incoming freight and parts shipments
- Assist with assembling inventory items, accessories, and dealership equipment
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and service lot
- Assist the service department with general operational needs during downtime between RV moves
What We're Looking For
This position requires someone who is already comfortable around trailers and towing equipment.
Applicants must have:
- Previous experience hooking up and unhooking trailers
- Experience towing and backing trailers
- Familiarity with travel trailers, fifth wheels, or similar equipment
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Confidence maneuvering larger units in tighter spaces
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Dependability and the ability to work independently
- A willingness to stay productive and help wherever needed
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
Previous RV dealership, trucking, agricultural, construction, equipment, trailer, or similar experience is a plus.
