As a Member Services Representative I, you will serve as a key point of contact for our members, helping them manage their financial needs while delivering friendly, accurate, and efficient service.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing excellent service. You will process financial transactions, assist with account maintenance, support daily operations, and promote Credit Union products and services that help members achieve their financial goals.
What You'll Do
- Deliver exceptional member service through in-person, drive-through, phone, and mail interactions.
- Process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier's checks, and money orders.
- Perform account maintenance requests, including address changes, stop payments, and other account updates.
- Ensure daily transaction accuracy and balance cash drawers in accordance with procedures.
- Research and resolve routine member inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Promote Credit Union products and services that meet member needs.
- Support member experience initiatives and contribute to a positive branch environment.
- Identify and report potential suspicious activity in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling member information.
- Collaborate with team members and support operational needs as assigned.
What You'll Bring
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of teller, banking, credit union, cash handling, or customer service experience preferred; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent, verbal, written, and timely communication skills.
- Professional appearance, attitude, and commitment to service excellence.
- Strong math, cash handling, and keyboarding skills.
- Ability to manage and balance a cash drawer accurately.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles is helpful.
- Proficiency with computers, office equipment, and financial systems.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
