Deposit Operations Representative - Yankton
First Dakota is looking for a Deposit Operations Representative to join our Yankton team! This person provides exceptional customer service while supporting internal and external customers through accurate, timely, and secure deposit and payment operations. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of core banking applications, deposit products, digital banking services, ACH processing, and domestic and international wire transfers. Perform daily operational processing, research and resolve customer issues, protect confidential information, and work within regulatory requirements, Bank policies, and established risk controls. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Duties
- Possess a working knowledge of the Core Banking Application and related deposit, digital banking, ACH, wire transfer, and card processing platforms.
- Prepare, enter, review, and process incoming and outgoing domestic and international wire transfers accurately and timely.
- Provide support and guidance to employees taking wire transfer requests from customers.
- Process incoming and outgoing ACH files and understand regulatory requirements related to ACH, wire transfers, and other deposit and payment services.
- Work within Deposit Operations, Cash Management, and Digital Banking guidelines to reduce risk and ensure compliance.
- Assist with the review, monitoring, and mitigation of operational and payment risks to minimize losses.
- Provide support to internal and external customers using Digital Banking, Bill Pay, e-statements, online applications, Mobile Deposit, and other eBanking products as appropriate.
- Complete daily Deposit Services duties, including Check 21 returns, large item notices, returned statements, Digital Banking and Bill Pay processes, ATM/check card maintenance and balancing, digital account opening funding, holds, unposted items, NSF items, deposit maintenance, and customer service calls.
- Complete item processing duties, including inclearings, RDC/RDA, adjustments, and returns.
- Pull required reports and complete monthly reconciliations.
- Research and resolve customer issues, acting as a liaison between Bank departments when necessary.
- Share responsibility for internal customer call volume and assist with inbound external customer calls as needed.
- Act in accordance with First Dakota Phone Standards and Digital Conversation Standards to provide exceptional customer service with every interaction.
- Adhere to policies and procedures for the appropriate resolution of customer complaints.
- Demonstrate effective decision-making when determining corrections, fee waivers, and refunds using appropriate solutions to meet customer needs.
- Maintain strict customer confidentiality and follow established security protocols.
- Inform management of irregular or recurring issues and suggest process improvements.
- Attend and come prepared to meetings and developmental training as necessary.
- Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.

Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED);One to three months of customer service, related operations experience, and/or training; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
