First Dakota National Bank is hiring a full-time Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team. This position is open to our Yankton, Sioux Falls or Mitchell locations. Previous processing experience preferred.

Has the ability to process a variety of transactions accurately and efficiently. The candidate must have the capability to maintain strict confidentiality, attention to detail and comply with all Bank policies and procedures. The ability to effectively communicate with various types of clientele, co-workers and departments to resolve an assortment of needs is required. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well in a team environment is essential. Verify and compile application information, submit files to underwriter and prepare closing documents for mortgage loans. Hours include Monday-Friday 8-5.
- Review residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets establishment standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment.
- Call, fax, email specified companies to obtain property abstract, survey, appraisal and insurance information.
- Submit mortgage loan application file for underwriting approval.
- Coordinate loan closing with the borrower, title company, and realtor, if applicable
- Ensure loans are clear to close.
- Prepare initial Closing Disclosure and work with settlement agent to coordinate numbers for the final Closing Disclosure.
- Obtain final approval of the Closing Disclosure from the loan originator.
- Communicate with settlement agents, loan originators and operations staff daily.
- Prepare all required mortgage loan closing documents via Loan Origination System, ensuring no errors or typos are on the documents.
- Confirm all closing conditions are met.
- Submit approved mortgage loan files to Loan Officer for review of closing documents and to the settlement agent for closing.
