Overview
Mount Marty University is pleased to accept applications for a Senior Director of Advancement. The Senior Director of Advancement is responsible for gift processing, data management and reporting, prospect identification and support, research and office and budget support for the Vice President for Advancement. The senior director may also manage relationships with a list of donors and prospective donors, subject to direction of the Vice President.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Directs the internal operational support functions of the Advancement office.
  • Directs the discovery, investigation and qualification of prospective and current donors, including alumni, parents, former parents and friends interested in supporting the University’s fundraising priorities.   
  • Prepares periodic reports of activity for fundraising priorities and ensures fundraising and donor data is organized and reliable.
  • Manages and oversees the submission of proposals and requests for support from departments and individual faculty and staff.
  • Coordinates the endowment process with Advancement staff and the business office.
  • Assists the Vice President for Advancement with donor relationships and implementing and sustaining fundraising strategies.
  • Provides additional support  as directed by the Vice President for Advancement.
 
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a program of study commensurate with the skills needed or significant prior experience.
  • Alumna/us of Mount Marty University preferred
  • Maintain confidential information and exercise discretion in interpersonal discussions
  • Willing to travel in addition to working evening and weekend hours as needed
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to the mission of Mount Marty University
  • Principled and authentic character
