Prince Manufacturing Corporation is a U.S. manufacturer of hydraulic components specializing in cylinders, mobile valves and gear pumps. The Yankton, SD location is currently looking for full-time welder to work in a diverse manufacturing atmosphere in our welding department. No experience? Don’t sweat it. We’ll teach you the positional skills you need to be successful regardless of your experience level.
- Starting wage: From $21.00 - $30.00/hour
- Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm or Tuesday - Friday 7:00am - 5:30pm
- No weekends or holidays

SUMMARY - Assembles and tests hydraulic cylinders completely, by performing the following duties.
Duties/responsibilities:
- Locates and arranges parts relative to production order.
- Washes tubes and makes sure there is no debris, sharp edges, or burrs in tubes.
- Checks blueprint against order to make sure that it is up to the current revision level.
- Looks over components being used to make sure they correspond to blueprints.
- Sets up assembly equipment, pin stamper, and hydraulic test stand according to blueprint, PMC Specification Manual, and part requirement.
- Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled and following blueprints.
- Fastens parts together with bolts, snap rings, or other fasteners.
- Tests cylinders according to blueprint and PMC Specification Manual checking for leaks and function.
- Organizes and maintains storage of parts to be used in the packing area.
- Weighs, counts, picks, and issues quantities of parts per order requirements.
- Washes and packs parts per order requirements.
- Fills parts orders to be shipped.
- Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packing process.
- Records quantity on identification tags.
- Sweeps, scrubs, and wipes down equipment and floor in work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
- The employee is occasionally required to walk.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and hazardous chemicals.

Orientation and Safety Training:
Must complete ISO Orientation for New Employees and Safety Training
Qualifications include:
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to stand for an extended period of time
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 pounds
- Must pass a pre-employment physical & drug screen
- Must complete ISO Orientation for New Employees and Safety Training
