SVP - Wealth & Trust Manager

First Dakota National Bank is hiring a full-time SVP - Wealth & Trust Manager to join our team. This person provides leadership, administration, planning, and management of the Bank’s Wealth & Trust Department in a manner that will contribute to the short and long-term goals of the Bank, Executive Management, and Board of Directors. Supports and engages in the Bank’s philosophy for exceptional customer service and is responsible for building strong employee relationships through training, coaching, and mentoring to all Wealth & Trust personnel. The Manager will direct sales activities within the department. The position is responsible for guiding investment activities within the department. The position is accountable to CFO and Board of Directors. This position is open to our Sioux Falls, Yankton and Mitchell locations. 
 
Duties
Help set and guide the strategic direction of the department
Setting and directing department policy and procedures
Coordinating the daily activities of the department
Investment management knowledge
Knowledge of trust and investment compliance and regulations
Oversight management of trust operations staff to ensure processes and procedures are adhered to
Business Development and Ability to Manage Accounts
Experience working and motivating others in a sales environment
Ability to manage and coach staff
Oversight of third party vendors and relationships
Ability to resolve and incorporate regulatory exam findings and audit findings
Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications
Attributes include a positive attitude and good work ethic. The ability to process a variety of tasks accurately and efficiently, the capability to maintain strict confidentiality, attention to detail and comply with all Bank policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with various types of clientele, co-workers and departments to resolve an assortment of needs. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Punctuality is a must.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related subject; and
  • 5+ years’ experience in a related field
 
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job includes supervisory responsibilities, as assigned, handle in accordance with Bank policies and applicable laws.
 
Responsibilities include mentoring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
